Ayuda: One-For-All, Not-For-One

From the time, tropical cyclones and monsoon rains struck in the Municipality of Macabebe, Pampanga on July 21, that turned out to be in chaos. Almost all people were sufferings from everything; initially, economic difficulties, emotional, physical and mental aspects.

Many individuals all over the town got shocked by the sudden flooding brought by the striking of the typhoons and southwest monsoon. Because of these affects, the affected individuals and families were expected to receive “ayuda.”

From there, the national and local government started to help in form of food-kits distribution—however, it was observed that during the distribution of food-kits inequality of allocation of food resources or logistical challenges giving to the people were having hard time in receiving their access to nutritious food or food-kits. This kind of situation could lead to uneven distribution and could affect the people whom in need—basically, not all affected households were given “ayuda”.

Unequal distribution of food kits was seen. In this time of hardship, this should never be practiced, for it’s unfair for other people who were struggling and suffering from starvation due to lack of income.

Furthermore, for a government official who have been ruling the community must be seen to be the one performing in helping the people for equal food-kits distribution—officials need to be more responsible for their constituent receiving what they needed, what they wanted, and what they gave like care, support or assistant through the hardship that they went through. Despite the difficulties encountered by most people they would have never lose their hope in overcoming their struggle and hardships.
